Little Snitch allows you to block outgoing connections the MacOS firewall only blocks incoming connections. I’ve been using it for quite a while but recently ditched it when I found a free alternative that equally. Little Snitch is probably the best host-based application firewall solution for macOS app. I used Little snitch in the past, but i know what happens on my machines always, so if something gets on there, i'll know about. Otherwise, good for general troubleshooting. As always, if u need to monitor suspicious outbound connections, my advice always,is you have more problems than just blocking something.
